Davis founded Host.net along with Randy Epstein, and serves as its CEO. He brings over 13 years of hands-on experience in systems integration, network setup and design, technical operations and management.
Prior to founding Host.net, Davis co-founded and was President and COO of Metro Fiberlink, Inc., a Delray Beach, Florida-based Data CLEC providing low-cost, high-reliability Internet service for the enterprise market. Davis was also the Senior Technology Advisor to the CEO of US Data Authority, Inc., a national T1 and T3 NSP. At US Data, Davis advised and assisted the company with their 40-market network rollout as well as in designing the company's Network Operations Center in Boca Raton, Florida.
Davis' reputation in the business and technology community has generated invitations to speak on panels on a variety of topics including VoIP, security and entrepreneurship, including participation in the South Florida Technology Alliance's "Meet the Tech CEO's" panel discussion. Davis has also been recognized for his ability to negotiate the difficult landscape of the technology community as a young entrepreneur.
A proponent of supporting other young professionals with similar aggressive goals and aspirations, Davis has made significant contributions to the Nova Southeastern University's Huizenga School of Entrepreneurship.
Chesal has been with Host.net since January 2004 and has been responsible for the company’s sales, marketing and business development initiatives, building on 30 years of diversified experience in sales, marketing and executive management.
Chesal previously worked for BellSouth, Teleport Communications Group (TCG), AT&T, Florida Digital Network, Teleplace, WebUnited and ProtectPoint in a variety of increasingly senior positions. He spearheaded initiatives for the planning, development and implementation of the go-to-market strategies for the voice, data, and managed network security services offered by those companies.
Chesal is involved in various civic, non-profit, and industry organizations including the Chairman of the Board of the South Florida Technology Alliance (SFTA), IT Palooza Co-chair, Florida Atlantic University ITOM Advisory Board, Past Chair of the American Cancer Society-Relay for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Volunteer Leadership Initiative, Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Trustee, Workforce Alliance Infotech Workforce Development, NSU- Graduate School of Computer and Information Science and Huizenga School of Entrepreneurship, Past President of the Deerfield Beach Founders’ Days, and the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival and Fishing Rodeo Committees. Recently, Chesal has taken to the road as a cyclist raising money for the Miami Dolphins Ride DCC benefitting the Sylvester Cancer Center, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Cycle for Life, and the 165 mile SMARTride from Miami to Key West. He was named Volunteer of the Year by the Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce for his dedication to the community and his work with the American Cancer Society. Chesal also shares his talents as the drummer for the World Famous Low Tides and several other local bands.
Dino joined Host.net in November 2013 and is responsible for the company's national sales initiatives, leveraging over 23 years experience selling, servicing and supporting clients in global telecommunications, data and managed network systems.
Dino recently dedicated over 14 years to the combined success of USLEC/PAETEC/Windstream. Beginning in 1999, Dino led the explosive sales growth of USLEC as their Regional VP of Sales, managing over 300 salespeople and consistently overachieving against revenue and sales targets, eventually resulting in the PAETEC acquisition in 2007. He repeated that leadership contribution at PAETEC which went for acquisition by Windstream in 2012. He has implemented values-based programs, practices and daily management that transformed the sales process and client support strategies for these combined companies, resulting in greater client satisfaction, consistent overachievement against sales targets, and increased customer loyalty. Earlier in his career, Dino developed his sales leadership skills while performing in the top 2% of Sales Directors at AT&T.
When not in the office, Dino is an ambitious outdoorsmen, spending time fishing, free-diving, and racing motocross. His commitment to remaining active fuels the tenacity and dedication he brings to his work. Dino is fluent in Spanish, Italian and English, enabling him to bridge communications and put people at ease throughout the country and local region.
Katz joined Host.net in May of 2013 as Chief Financial Officer where he is responsible for all financial matters related to the organization. Katz will be responsible for evaluating new business opportunities, the financial integration of those opportunities and ensuring that the forecast synergies are realized. On a day to day basis, Katz works with the staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting/ forecasting, board presentations and bank compliance.
Prior to joining Host.net, Katz was the CFO of Carls Patio a luxury retailer of patio furniture and related accessories where he spent four years performing similar functions including; streamlining financial reporting, implementing cost saving initiatives, creating shareholder value, producing bank and board packages/ presentations as well as implementing key performance metrics to drive the business. Prior to Carls Patio, Katz spent ten years at Hunter Douglas Window Décor Divisiona high end manufacturer, fabricator and distributor of window coverings as Director of Accounting. Katz is a licensed CPA with experience in both the public and private sectors.
Katz attended Kent State University concentrating on business management and subsequently the University of Pittsburgh concentrating on accounting.
Katz is also active in the community having served on several boards including Easter Seals of Broward County and Bay Colony Club Condominiums.
Stephen joined Host.net in January 2014 as Chief Technology Officer overseeing global systems, network and operations. He leads the teams responsible for one of the market's most robust, resilient and flexible distributed virtualization platforms delivered through Host.net's combination of best-of-breed virtualization technology, diverse network and highly redundant facilities infrastructure.
Stephen has over twenty years of experience in IT management with his most recent position being Senior Director of Global Services and Infrastructure at Jarden Consumer Solutions where he was responsible for all telecom, network, systems, datacenter, desktop and helpdesk functions supporting a diverse global workforce in 28 locations and 16 countries. He brings not only a background in global infrastructure and operations but a strong customer service focus.
Originally from New Zealand Stephen loves the outdoors and so when not in the office he enjoys time with his three children cycling, diving, swimming, camping or skiing.
Calderon joined Host.net in October 2006 as its Facility Director. He oversees the day-to-day needs of each of the company’s data centers as well as setting long-range goals for achieving optimum performance, reliability and sustainability at each site.
Calderon started his career as a Network Manager for Mid Manhattan Medical in New York City, where he oversaw network administration for more than 30 sites on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. He later worked as a network technician/engineer for Equinix, Inc. at their facilities in Newark and Secaucus, New Jersey.
Moreno joined Host.net in September 2007 as the Director of Provisioning and Billing when Host.net acquired WebUnited/Expedient Florida from Continental Broadband. She oversees vendor communication, installations, and accounts receivables, drawing on her extensive experience in vendor management, auditing, accounting, and financial analysis of mergers and acquisitions.
Moreno has played an important role in evolving and streamlining the provisioning department at Host.net. She has been instrumental in creating the policies and procedures necessary to provide customers the best possible installation experience and smooth transition to Host.net services.
Prior to joining Host.net, Moreno served as the Provisioning Manager and Assistant Controller for Continental Broadband Florida d/b/a WebUnited. She enjoyed a successful seven-year tenure with WebUnited where she started in the accounting department and assumed successive responsibilities in the areas of human resources, provisioning, billing and payables
Davis joined Host.net in October 2005 in the accounting department. Today she serves as the company's Controller and Corporate Secretary/Treasurer, overseeing all financial functions including annual audits, monthly financial reporting, budget preparation, cash management and all accounts payable and payroll functions.
Prior to joining Host.net, Davis was CFO of Martex Distributors, a fiberglass insulation distributor and installer from its inception in 1977 until the sale of the company to Gale Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Masco Corporation (NYSE:MAS) in 1999.
Epstein co-founded Host.net along with Jeffrey Davis and serves as its senior advisor. He brings over 20 years of experience in direct network design, operations, and staff management. His responsibilities at Host include mergers and acquisitions, as well as the integration of acquired companies into the Host.net network and product line. Epstein has also taken a keen interest in building settlement-free interconnection (peering) relationships with other industry-leading networks.
Hollinger joined Host.net in April 2010. He is responsible for operations and management of the Network Operations Center. He works directly with key customer contacts, as well as our Customer Support, Sales and Engineering groups to address any customer concerns; while at times, directly leading the troubleshooting efforts for complex issues. His primary role is to maintain and continuously improve customer support through procedural refinements.
